## [Set up your first virtual employee](https://www.tidy.engineering/releases/first-virtual-employee)

Set up a virtual employee with a role, clear instructions and the access it needs.

The walkthrough follows a fictional project coordinator, Penny. It shows how to add a Linux workshop, choose Pi as the harness, connect through Tidy inference and deploy the employee. Setup waits are shortened and enrollment credentials are hidden.

## Choose where it works

Start with a hosted employee if you don’t need a computer of your own. Use a workshop when the job needs local files, tools or a browser. The workshop is the machine; the employee keeps its identity, conversations and backlog when you move it.

## Choose how it uses a model

Tidy inference uses Tidy’s models and managed access. Availability and usage follow your Tidy plan. A supported provider sign-in uses your provider account and its limits. An API key is a separate option, with API usage billed under that key. Available choices depend on the harness and provider.

Use the sign-in controls for accounts and keys. Don’t put passwords in an employee’s instructions.

## Review before it runs

Approve installation requests through Tidy’s identity-verification flow. Give the employee a narrow first task and review the result. A completed deployment is not the same as a completed assignment.

Virtual employees require Plus. Model credits, hosted capacity and provider charges depend on your setup. The video uses an isolated test machine and fictional content.

Follow the [step-by-step setup guide](https://www.tidy.engineering/virtual-employees) for chapter navigation and the full narration.

## [Tidy on your wrist](https://www.tidy.engineering/releases/tidy-on-your-wrist)

Your wrist is the fastest place to catch a thought before it slips away. The new Tidy watch companion for Wear OS turns a quick glance into real capture — no phone in your hand required.

- **Capture with the crown.** Spin through your saved details on a ring dial and drop a new one in a couple of seconds — walking, cooking, or between meetings.
- **Podcasts, right there.** Start, pause, and skip your personal podcast feed from the watch, and pick up exactly where you left off. Your watch and phone stay in step. (More on that in [Podcasts that remember where you stopped](https://www.tidy.engineering/releases/podcast-resume).)
- **Dictate into your workspace.** Talk to your watch and the words land in Tidy, ready to become a note, task, or message.
- **Recents and your queue.** Glance at what you touched last, and push something onto your queue without digging for it.

It is the same private workspace you already use — see how it fits the rest of your day on the [households overview](https://www.tidy.engineering/for-families).

## [Tidy on your TRMNL e-ink display](https://www.tidy.engineering/releases/tidy-on-your-trmnl-e-ink-display)

Put your Tidy day on a TRMNL e-ink display — calendar, tasks, inbox highlights, and project status, always on and glanceable.

- **Your day at a glance.** Calendar, open tasks, and inbox highlights share one always-on screen.
- **Read-only and private.** The display shows what Tidy already knows; nothing on the device can change your workspace.
- **Pick your screens.** Daily summary, meeting brief, project status, and more — one plugin instance per screen.

## [Podcasts that remember where you stopped](https://www.tidy.engineering/releases/podcast-resume)

Tidy turns your reading pile — articles, documents, long email threads — into a personal podcast you can listen to anywhere. Now it keeps your place for you.

- **Pick up where you left off.** Start on your phone, continue on your watch, finish at your desk. Your position follows you across devices.
- **Know what is done.** Finished episodes are marked complete and drop out of your up-next, so you are never stuck re-listening.
- **Fresh when you restart.** Replay a completed item and it starts clean from the top, not halfway through.

Listening on the move? The new [Tidy watch companion](https://www.tidy.engineering/releases/tidy-on-your-wrist) puts these controls on your wrist.
