Acceptable Use and Content Policy
Effective October 13, 2026
What this covers
This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It lists what you may not do with Tidy, with your content in Tidy, and with what Tidy sends for you: email, texts, automations, and virtual employees.
If you break it, we can remove content, turn off a feature, or close an account. We use the smallest step that fixes the problem.
Illegal use
Don’t use Tidy to break the law. That includes laws on recording or monitoring communications without consent, laws against spam, and trade controls: don’t use Tidy where US export rules or sanctions forbid it.
Child safety
Zero tolerance. No content that exploits or sexualizes minors, and no grooming. Child sexual abuse material is illegal to hold or share; we remove it and report it to the authorities.
Harassment, hate, and threats
No harassing, bullying, defaming, or threatening people through Tidy. No content that attacks people for who they are. No promoting violence or self-harm.
Graphic and harmful content
No gratuitous violence or obscene material. No content that promotes terrorism or dangerous acts.
Deception, fraud, and malware
No phishing, fraud, or counterfeit goods. No malware, and no breaking into other people’s accounts or systems. No probing, scanning, or attacking Tidy itself.
Privacy and surveillance
Tidy reads the accounts of the member who connected them. That consent doesn’t extend to anyone else. No stalking, tracking, or monitoring people without their consent. No loading other people’s private data you have no right to. No building profiles of people who haven’t agreed.
Intellectual property
Don’t infringe other people’s rights. The Copyright and DMCA Policy explains how reports are handled.
Spam and unwanted contact
No harvesting addresses. No unsolicited bulk email or texts. Don’t send through Tidy to people who didn’t ask. The SMS Messaging Terms add the consent rules for texting.
Service integrity
No overloading, scraping, or automating in ways that slow the service for others. No getting around plan limits. No reselling access to your account.
AI rules
The AI and Virtual Employees Terms explain how AI works in Tidy. With AI features, you may not:
- Build a competing model or service from Tidy’s output.
- Develop weapons, run critical infrastructure, or make other high-risk decisions.
- Produce disinformation or political campaign material.
- Pass off AI output as human work where that deceives someone.
- Surveil or track people unlawfully.
Legal, medical, or financial output needs review by a qualified person before you rely on it.
Uses we watch closely
Some uses attract abuse, so we look at them closely and may suspend them: work-at-home and get-rich schemes, gambling, adult entertainment, multi-level marketing, and price gouging during emergencies.
Reporting
Report a violation to [email protected]. Include what you saw, where, and anything that helps us check it.
Enforcement and appeals
We look into reports and act on them. Where we can, we tell you when we act on your content. If you think we got it wrong, reply to our notice or email [email protected] and ask for a review; a person reviews every request.
We may investigate and act on violations, but we don’t promise to monitor everything.
